A recent report by the Universities Police Science Institute discovered that a high proportion of ASB victims are vulnerable repeat callers who experienced intimidation or repercussions as a direct result of reporting ASB to the police. A spokesman for the institute has urged the police to lead a multi-agency response by partnering with other agencies, associations and social housing landlords so ASB Is assessed in a consistent way. THE ACPO had pointed out that “there were inadequacies in case management skills, application and enforcement processes, a lack of information sharing and a failure to take a joined up approach.”

With the lack of secured multi-agency platforms supporting joined-up working, it is proving challenging for third-party associations to deal with ASB Incidents efficiently. A multi-agency approach must encompass families, victims and offenders to ensure successful outcomes. Speak to one of our consultants to see how Locality can offer you a solution in getting one step closer to partner collaboration and joined-up working.
